You may have seen some female golfers wearing very visible clothing if you've ever been to a professional tournament. Paige Spiranac is one example. She was known to wear a small skirt on the golf course before the dress codes were enforced. Male golfers were critical of this practice, accusing the LPGA and other golfers of body-shaming women. Today, however, the dress code has been lifted.
Lexi Thompson
Alexis Noel Thompson is a professional American golfer who plays on LPGA Tour. She was 12 years old when she qualified for the U.S. Women's Open. She became a professional at the age of 15. Since then, she has qualified for many other major championships. She won her first LPGA championship in June 2016.

She became the youngest female participant in the US Women's Open at twelve years old. She was just sixteen when she became the youngest LPGA winning player and won her first tournament. She is a world-renowned athlete and has won numerous LPGA tournaments at age 20. She practices for three hours every day and plays 18 holes. Then she eats lunch and goes to work with a coach. Thompson is also a volunteer for charities like the Wounded Warrior Project.
Thompson was one the most popular players in the world in 2015. However, she had a difficult year in 2021. In 2021, she held a lead of five shots at the US Women's Open but didn't capitalize. She has won the LGPA Japan Tour in the past and the Ladies European Tour in the present. She is currently ranked 9th on the Rolex Player Rankings. She finished 17th in last spring's Lotte Championship, and 17th overall at the ANA Inspiration. She also missed an opportunity to win her second major event at the AvnetLPGA Classic.
Michelle Maguire
Leona Maguire was the first Irishwoman to win the LPGA Tour Drive On Championship in Florida. The 27-year-old was three strokes ahead Lexi Thompson when she finished on -18. Maguire started the season with five birdies. In the final round, she tied Marina Alex. To win the title, she birdied 10th, 11th and 13th holes.
The 2020 season was mostly positive for the Irishwoman, with a few low points in the early stages of the season. She missed the last 16 of the LPGA Match-Play in May, but bounced back to produce her best form during the summer. Maguire attributed her success to a number of experiences, both good and bad, that she learned from. Positive experiences build confidence while negative experiences serve as reality checks.

Maguire was also named to the 2017-18 WGCA All-American Scholars Team. This honor is given to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically. Maguire was a captain, and the team MVP. Maguire also broke Lydia Ko’s record for the most weeks at top of the World Amateur rankings. She was also named honorary recipient of the ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship, which recognizes exceptional student-athletes and their intention to earn a graduate degree.
