Carli Lloyd has retired from the U.S. women’s national team

The U.S. women's national team announced her retirement this week, and the USWNT has been mourning the loss. Carli Lloyd, who has been with the team 15 years, played in five World Cups and won three. She will be missed, however, she will not be forgotten. She got married shortly after the Olympics in November 2016. Brian Hollins has been her husband since. In the 66th minute, she was replaced by a South Korean player in a friendly match. She was greeted with a standing ovation as she left the field.
