Morgan Brian, a former Olympic champion, has been in decline. She was out in injury for two consecutive years when she was last told that she was on the squad. One question mark on the roster is the goalkeeper. Ellis has used three different keepers so far this year. We'll find out soon enough. Meanwhile, the other four players on the roster remain a mystery.
Tierna Davidson
Tierna Davy is the USWNT World Cup youngest player. She's a great choice for this summer's tournament. The Chicago Red Stars' first round draft pick is a centre back with a playmaker mentality. Davidson was drafted by Chicago Red Stars in 2017. He won the 2017 national championship with Stanford. After playing 90 minutes for the USWNT in 2018, Davidson is now in full training.

Ali Krieger
Ali Krieger, defender for the U.S. Women's National Team, has been named in the roster for the 2019 World Cup. The 26-year-old has been awarded three international caps and was the team's best defense in 2015. In 2015, the U.S. WNT's back line managed to keep its opponents to just three goals in five games. Krieger played five straight shutouts in the World Cup's second-round match. In 2011, she scored two game-winning penalty kicks against Brazil and helped the U.S. WNT reach the final against Japan. She played 600 minutes during that tournament.
Carli Lloyd
It's no surprise Carli Lloyd was selected for the USWNT world Cup roster. The 39-year-old is an American soccer legend. She is currently the most prolific American player and the oldest member of the roster. With her assists and goals, the USWNT has reached the final of three consecutive World Cups. The most recent tournament was in France in 2015. Her career is far from finished.
Tierna Mewis
Mewis is now a 47-year-old American woman who has been in 47 games for the national team since 2014 when she earned her first U.S. Women's National Team cap. She has nine goals and was an alternate on the 2016 Olympic Team. Mewis, although still young, is an extremely talented player. She is a great choice for USWNT's midfielder. Her skills and experience will prove valuable as the team prepares in preparation for the World Cup.
Casey Short
While it's not the most glamorous job in women's soccer, Casey Short is one of the most important players on the USWNT roster. She's made more than any professional women's soccer player and her contributions to the team have been crucial. Christen Press, another player, stated that Casey was "very proud of her."

Chelsea O'Hara
Although she is a former winger Chelsea O'Hara has proven to be one of the best fullbacks in USWNT. O'Hara is a former winger who has played in 115 matches of the USWNT's senior team and U-16 teams since 2004. She has also scored 37 national team goals. O'Hara played only two games this season for the Utah Royals FC, and has been limited in her playing time. O'Hara has World Cup experience and was an important player in the team's 2015 title win.
