Morgan Brian is still in high demand despite her outstanding performance at the Olympics. Ali Krieger, however, has fallen out favor. Her last news was that she made the squad. She was out with injuries for two more years. One question mark remains on the roster: the goalkeeper. Ellis has so far used three different goalkeepers. We'll find out soon enough. The other four names on the roster are still unknown.
Tierna Davidson
TiernaDavidson, the youngest player on USWNT World Cup roster is an excellent pick for this summer’s tournament. The Chicago Red Stars first-round draft pick is a center back with a playmaker's mentality. Davidson won the 2017 National Championship with Stanford and was drafted in the same year by the Chicago Red Stars. Davidson, who played 90 minutes for USWNT 2018 in 2018, is now in full-training.

Ali Krieger
Ali Krieger, U.S. Women's National Team defender, has been announced as part of the roster for 2019 World Cup. The 26-year old has three international caps under her belt and was part the team's best defensive performance of 2015. The U.S. WNT's defense managed to hold its opponents to three goals in five games in 2015. Krieger was part of five consecutive shutouts throughout the World Cup. She played from the second game in the group stage to the semifinal match. She scored two game-winning penalty kicks in 2011 against Brazil, and helped the U.S. WNT reach its final against Japan. She played all 600 minutes in that tournament.
Carli Lloyd
It is no surprise that Carli Lloyd has been named to the USWNT World Cup roster. The 39-year old American soccer legend is a true American icon. She is currently the American's top-scoring player, and also the oldest player on their roster. The USWNT reached the final of three consecutive World Cups thanks to her goals and assists. This includes the 2015 tournament, which was held in France. But her career isn't over.
Tierna Mewis
Mewis, who won her first U.S. women’s team cap in 2014 has made 47 appearances for Team USA. Mewis has been an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team and has scored nine goals. Mewis, although still young, is an extremely talented player. She is a great choice for USWNT's midfielder. Her skills and experience will prove valuable as the team prepares in preparation for the World Cup.
Casey Short
While it's not the most glamorous job in women's soccer, Casey Short is one of the most important players on the USWNT roster. Because she's already been paid more than most professional women’s soccer players, her contribution has been vital. As fellow player Christen Press put it, "I'm very proud of Casey."

Chelsea O'Hara
Although she is a former winger Chelsea O'Hara has proven to be one of the best fullbacks in USWNT. O'Hara played in 115 matches since 2004, from the U-16s up to the senior team. She has also scored 37 international goals. O'Hara only played two minutes for the Utah Royals FC this season. She has World Cup experience, as she was an integral part of the team's 2015 championship run.
